Code 19: Death toll in India exceeds 400,000

The death toll from the corona virus in India has risen to more than 400,000. On the one hand, the government is speeding up the vaccination process, while on the other hand, experts have warned that the actual death toll could be much higher as many deaths are not being reported.

India has the third highest number of deaths due to corona virus. The United States and Brazil are first and second on the list, respectively. However, when it comes to the highest number of code-19 virus cases, India ranks second with 30 million cases, while the United States ranks first.

Health experts are warning of a third wave in India. On Friday, the federal government sent a team of experts to Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Odessa, Chhattisgarh and Manipur to review the situation there and monitor the vaccination program. The number of cases is increasing in these six states. Since the launch of the vaccination program in January, only 5% of India’s population has been vaccinated.

The Indian government wants all people to be vaccinated by the end of this year, but the program has been slow due to a lack of vaccine doses and reluctance.

The vaccines currently being used in the country are Kovi Shield and Kovacs, which are manufactured in India. Russia has also been allowed to use the Russian-made Sputnik Five vaccine, which is being used in limited quantities.

The government is now trying to increase the supply of vaccines after the second deadly wave in Corona. Remember that this wave has put tremendous pressure on the already weak health system in the country.

Indian authorities are preparing to use a locally formulated novavix vaccine developed by the Serum Institute of India. The government has also ordered another 300 million doses of another vaccine from Indian company Biological E.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, the Indian Ministry of Health had also allowed the Indian pharmaceutical company Spilla to import a modern vaccine, which has proved to be 95 per cent effective against cod.
